Throughout the month of June, St. Louis County is dedicating three Saturdays solely to accepting new applicants for its senior property tax freeze program.
The three events – held across the area – will be hosted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at various County offices, including the South County Government Center, 4554 Lemay Ferry Road, on June 21. Other dates and locations include the West County Government Center and the North County Government Center on June 14 and June 28, respectively.
Only new applications will be processed; no status checks, document updates or follow-up requests will be processed.
“We want to make it easier for our seniors to get the help they need without the stress of taking time off during the work week,” Tony Smee, director of the Department of Revenue, stated in a press release.
Since its launch on Oct. 1, 2024, the County has received more than 50,000 senior tax freeze applications. For those who cannot make it to the Saturday events, the County will continue to offer in-person help at four locations – including the South County Government Center – Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments can be made by visiting this link and clicking on the preferred location. Applications can also be submitted online.
