The St. Louis County Planning Commission is holding four public hearings at its meeting Feb. 13.
The Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13 at the St. Louis County Government Center in Clayton, 41. S Central Ave.
Two of the proposals are in South County. The first South County-based public hearing is a request from Steve Young to convert property zoned for C-2 commercial to R-7 residential at Gravois Road and New Hampshire Avenue.
The proposal is in the 5th Council District of Councilwoman Lisa Clancy, D-Maplewood, and is in the Affton School District.
The second South County-based proposal is a request from Dharmesh Sharma for a conditional use permit in the C-2 commercial district at the intersection of Telegraph and Pottle roads to construct a one-story A-1 Wine & Spirit store with 16 parking spaces, including two accessible spaces.
The new storefront would replace A-1’s current South County location at 4334 Telegraph Road.
The proposed building is 3,980 square feet on a .41-acre tract.
The petition is in the 6th Council District of Councilman Ernie Trakas, R-Oakville, and is in the Mehlville School District.
The commission was slated to hear the A-1 proposal at its January public hearing but the petition was postponed at the request of the petitioner.
The other Feb. 13 hearings include a request to change C-8 commercial zoning to R-6AA residential to allow for multi-family residences on Smizer Station Road, west of Smizer Mill Estates Drive. That request is in the 3rd Council District of Councilman Dennis Hancock, R-Fenton, and the Rockwood School District.
Lastly, there is a request for a CUP by Best Detailing, LLC for a vehicle service center on Trenton Avenue. That petition is in the 2nd County Council District and Pattonville School District.
