Friday, Oct. 4

  • The Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 842 S. Holmes Ave., will host a “Dracula” listening party at noon. Hear Orson Welles’ 1938 Mercury Theatre presentation of the classic. For adults.
  • There will be a Holy Hour for priestly and religious vocations at the Monastery of St. Clare, 200 Marycrest Drive, from 7 to 8 p.m.
  • The St. Louis Destination Swing Dance Club will host a dance at the Affton Elks Lodge, 6330 Heege Road, from 8 p.m. to midnight, with free beginner lessons at 7 p.m. First-time comers are free. Entry is $10 for non-members.
