Friday, Oct. 18

The Crestwood Police Department is hosting Coffee with A Cop and Pizza With the Police from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Starbucks, 9590 Watson Road. Free coffee will be provided by Starbucks, along with free Imo’s pizza for kids and a free nacho bar provided by San Jose Mexican Restaurant. All community members are invited to attend.

Sunset Hills Parks and Recreation will host a Halloween event at Watson Trail Park, 12450 W. Watson Road from 5:30 to 9 p.m. There will be face painting, a balloon artist, rock wall, slide, fire show, pony rides, storytelling hayrides and more.

ROC Ministries, 802 Kinswood Lane, is holding a coat drive for donations of men’s, women’s and children’s coats, jackets, hats scarves and gloves or mittens. Items will be donated to various shelters as well as children in need and children going into foster homes. Donations may be dropped off at the back door. Mark the bag or box with “Coat Drive’ any time today, Saturday or Sunday before 1 p.m.

Crestwood will host a free showing of Hotel Transylvania 3 at Sanders Park, Sanders Drive and Clover Lane, beginning at dusk.

Zion United Methodist Church, 1603 Union Road, is having a ham and bean dinner from 4 to 7 p.m., dine-in or carry out. Cost of the dinner is $8 and includes cornbread and dessert. For more information call 314-631-6504.
