Closure notice | The Sunset Hills Community Center will reopen after a temporary closure that started on Aug. 11.
Go to the market | The Affton Community Center, 9801 Mackenzie Road, will host a flea market from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Join as a vendor for $25/table or come for free entry as a shopper.
Support a good cause | The Lutheran High School South softball program is hosting a car wash at Lutheran High School South, 9515 Tesson Ferry Road, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Donations will be accepted.
Connect with others | Are you a writer? Share and discuss your work with fellow writers at the writers’ workshop from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road. Open to adults.
Get crafting | The Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road, will host a family crafting hour from 10 – 11 a.m. This month, the craft will be dog collages. Registration is required. Visit slcl.org/events for more information.
Sing along | Head to the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, for Sing-along Saturdays. Beginning at 10:30 a.m., you can learn popular 19th-century songs with a park ranger.

Conducted by Saint Louis Vets Connect, “Veterans Coffee Talk” was created so veterans can enjoy the brotherhood shared by all branches of service, providing a non-political atmosphere where their stories and valor can be shared.
