A Great Rivers Greenway Quest hand-painted bee rock. Hundreds of bee rocks are hidden along the region’s greenways, in addition to 30 at the City Museum.

Great Rivers Greenway and the City Museum kicked off the second annual Greenway Quest Aug. 7.

The Greenway Quest is a scavenger hunt along Great Rivers Greenways. Families can find one of the 250 hidden, hand-painted bee rocks. Thirty rocks are hidden at the City Museum while the rest are hidden along the 135 miles of greenway in the region. The quest is ongoing until all of the bees are found.

Bees will be hidden along the edges or the greenways or at designated trailheads and never on private property. Finders should bring their bee rock home and register it online at greenwayquest.com for a chance to win ticket to the City Museum, Great Rivers Greenway swag and other prizes.

Participants are also encouraged to share their finds by posting photos of themselves with their bee rock on social media and tagging @GreatRiversSTL and @CityMuseum.
