The St. Louis County Board of Elections opens its satellite absentee voting sites starting Thursday, including a South County location at the South County Government Center in Keller Plaza.
The sites will serve in conjunction with the main on-site absentee voting program at the Board of Election’s main office at the North County Government Center in St. Ann.
The on-site absentee program cuts the waiting time for ballot requests to be processed through the mail, and the additional locations will allow voters to access the program more easily from anywhere in the county.
Anyone who is a registered voter in St. Louis County and qualifies for absentee voting may vote at any absentee voting location they choose. Democratic Director of Elections Eric Fey suggested that voters bring a sample ballot or “cheat sheet” with them to the polls due to the length of the ballot.
Anyone who wants to submit an absentee or mail-in ballot can turn in those ballots at the satellite locations, and notary services will be available at the satellite locations. Free notary services are also available at select times at St. Louis County Library locations. See our complete guide to voting by mail for more information.
Satellite voting will be open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, July 23 through July 31. The polls will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25 and Saturday, Aug. 1, and then Monday, Aug. 3, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
