The Point Elementary School Mothers’ Club will open its 15th annual Santa Shoppe to the public from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at the school, 6790 Telegraph Road.
Families can have dinner, make crafts and listen to Christmas carols. Santa will visit from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Photos will be available for purchase at a cost of $12 per disk. Call Traci Skaggs at (314) 846-5536 for photo appointments.
The Mothers’ Club raises funds to support classrooms with supplies and students with activities not covered by the Mehlville School District’s constrained operating budget, according to a news release.
Without the club’s support, students and staff would have to do without upgraded technology, field trips and other essentials that enrich the students’ learning experience and better prepare them to become productive members in an increasingly competitive global community, the release stated.
