Since the Oct. 1 launch of St. Louis County’s senior property tax freeze application, the Department of Revenue has received 10,814 applications.
More than 9,200 of the applications submitted were completed through the County’s online application portal.
Applications will remain open until June 30, 2025.
“The fact that we’ve already seen more than 10,000 applications submitted in just the first week speaks to both the need for this relief and the efficiency with which our Department of Revenue has responded in launching the Senior Tax Freeze application,” County Executive Dr. Sam Page stated in a press release. “And we’re glad to see the majority of folks take advantage of filling out the application online.”
Residents who need assistance completing an application can visit one of four locations, where county employees will be available to help Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

To make the application process easier, residents are encouraged to have all necessary application documents ready ahead of time, including a property deed, which is required for application.
Mailed in or dropped off paper documents will not be accepted during the application period. For more information, residents are also encouraged to check out the Frequently Asked Questions section of the Senior Tax Freeze website.
