Russell H. Niemeyer, 89, died Feb. 20 at Bethesda Southgate.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Niemeyer resided in Oakville. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and a production manager for a printing company.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Alice and William Gaitskill, Kathleen and John Miles and Carol Randall; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sue Niemeyer; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Niemeyer (nee Muehlheausler, and sister, Estelle Boman.

Services were at St. Stephen Protomartyr Catholic Church. Visitation was at Kutis South County Chapel. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery.
