Russell Francis Smith, 95, died Jan. 26 at his home in Lynn, Mass.
Mr. Smith resided in Concord Village for 32 years. He was employed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Service Base for about 20 years.
He was a member of St. Philips Church, Blueliners Inc. and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association.
Mr. Smith was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Hack); father of Margaret Manhardt (Philip) of Sanford, N.C., the late Mary Frances Dreste (Tony), of Concord Village and Ruth May (John) of Sanford, N.C.; grandfather of four; great-grandfather of five; and great-great-grandfather of two.
Services with military honors were held at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Macks Creek. Burial was in Macks Creek Cemetery.
