The Call has received word of the death of former resident Richard C. Caho, 72, who passed away Oct. 17 in Houston, Texas.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Caho resided in Mehlville and Ballwin until 1985. He served as a St. Louis County police officer and detective until 1964. He was in the automobile business until his death. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and four years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Nancy Caho (nee Reprogel); daughters, Kelly Caho and Tracy Riedel; sister, Caroline Weltig; brother, Joseph D. Caho; brothers-in-law, David and Kenneth Reprogel and Ronald Weltig; and three grandchildren, Faith, Nathan and Zachery. He was the son of Frances and Henry Caho.
