Police seek help in identifying robbery suspect

The St. Louis County Police Department is seeking help to identify this individual who is wanted in connection with two robberies within the last few weeks in south county.

The St. Louis County Police Department is seeking help to identify this individual who is wanted in connection with two robberies within the last few weeks in south county.

The St. Louis County Police Department Division of Criminal Investigation is seeking help to identify an individual who is wanted in connection with two first-degree robbery and armed criminal action incidents that occurred within the last few weeks in south county.

The first incident occurred Aug. 13 at a 7-11, 8000 Mackenzie, according to a Police Department news release.

At about 2:30 a.m., a white male suspect entered the 7-11, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No injuries were reported. The suspect fled north from the location.

He was described as a white male, 30 to 40 years of age, 5 foot, 3 inches to 5 foot, 5 inches and roughly 250 pounds. He was wearing black skull cap with a red and white bandana around his face, large dark sunglasses, plain green short sleeve T-shirt, blue jeans and black gloves, according to the release

The second incident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at a Subway, 4305 Butler Hill Road.

The unknown white male suspect entered the Subway wearing a red rag over the lower part of his face, dark sunglasses and a dark hat. He was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. The suspect produced a handgun and demanded money. The clerk complied and he walked out on foot.

The employee watched him walk to a vehicle, which was described as a green or dark beige Jeep Grand Cherokee.
