Police looking for man who robbed south county bank

St. Louis County Police Officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct responded to a call of a bank robbery at about 11:20 a.m. today — Tuesday — at the Jefferson Bank at 5475 Southfield Center.

A man entered the bank and demanded money, according to a department news release. The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undetermined amount of currency. No one was injured.

St. Louis County Police Detectives from the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons responded to conduct the investigation.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20s to mid-30s, approximately 6 foot, 180 pounds with brown hair wearing a dark colored windbreaker, dark pants, light blue shirt with tie, red hat, possibly ball cap style.

No weapon was displayed, according to the release.
