Planning panel sets public hearings Monday

The hearings will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, in the County Council chambers in the Administration Building, 41 S. Central Ave., Clayton.

McDonald’s proposes a fast-food restaurant in the C-2 Shopping District for a 1.1-acre lot at 13047 Tesson Ferry Road, next to the Petro Mart at Tesson Ferry and Butler Hill roads. The McDonald’s is proposed for the same site that the planning panel unanimously rejected for a Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market in April 2013, saying it was too intensive of a use for a site bordering residential property.

Frisco Hill Auto Body of Imperial proposes a vehicle-repair facility on 4.7 acres at 4615 Baumgartner Road, on the north side of Baumgartner Road, south of Old Baumgartner Road, roughly 850 feet east of Baumgartner Industrial Drive.

Frisco Hill requests a change in zoning from NU Non-Urban and FPNU Flood Plain Non-Urban to M-3 Planned Industrial District and FPM-3 Flood Plain Planned Industrial District.
