The Mehlville Optimist Club of Mehlville recently celebrated Youth Appreciation Day by honoring 10 outstanding students from five local high schools.
These students were formally recognized at a breakfast meeting at Andre’s South. Parents and principals were present to witness the presentation of a commemorative plaque, framed proclamation and other mementos.
The schools and students honored are as follows:
Hancock High School — Arifa Klokic and Nedzad Durkovic.
Lindbergh High School — Shalaka Nimmagadda and Randall Le.
Lutheran High School South — Meredith Mey and Lucas Steffan.
Mehlville High School — Alyssa Drew and Dominic Meyer.
Oakville High School — Shayla Hrncic and Shannon Goersch.
