Teresa May Samuels (née Gorman), 98, died May 3.

Teresa was a loving mom to Kurt (Mukda) Samuels, Karen (Steve) Bauer, Keith Samuels and Jean (Jim) Helman. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley (Tony) Russo, Kelly, Jessica, Michael and Clark Samuels; a step-grandmother to Michael Bauer and Morgan Helman; and a great-grandmother to Dominic Russo. She was also a devoted aunt, great-aunt and dear friend to many.

She was the wife of the late Dave Samuels; daughter of the late Edward and Veronica Gorman; and sister of the late Mary (the late Frank) Gatti, the late Rosemary (the late Mel) Staat and the late Joe Gorman.

Teresa loved animals and was a faithful member of Assumption Parish. Prior to getting married, Teresa was a former employee of Ralston Purina. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing cards with her girlfriends in their Canasta Club, and was also a member of a bowling team. The family would like to thank all of the girls at Mercy In-Home Hospice who assisted us. A special thank you to Angela at Senior Helpers and a big heartfelt thank you to Fatima at Senior Helpers.

Visitation will be held at Fey Funeral Home on May 13 from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on May 14, with a Mass at Assumption Catholic Church, located at 4725 Mattis Road, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
