Obituary For Rita T Wobbe (nee Becker)

Burial Date: May 3, 2019. Rita Theresa Wobbe, nee Becker, died Feb. 15 in Southlake, Texas, at the age of 94. Born in Kimmswick, Missouri to Henry and Anna Becker, Rita resided in Affton for 60-plus years. She worked for Schnucks grocery stores for 25 years. She married Victor L. Wobbe on Nov. 29, 1947. Her husband preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1999. She is survived by daughter Barbara Welsh of Pleasanton California; son Kenneth Wobbe of Carrollton, Texas; daughter Theresa Buntyn Becker of Southlake; daughter Patricia Kibert of Gainesville, Florida; grandson Scott Welsh of Discovery Bay, California; granddaughter Vicki Mason of Nashville, Tennessee; granddaughter Tina Janda of Elk Grove, California; granddaughter Melina Welsh of San Francisco; grandson Ryan Buntyn of Oklahoma City; granddaughter Alina Kibert of Gainesville; and brother Hank Becker of Agawam, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her great-grandson Ashton Welsh of San Francisco and many nephews, nieces and beloved friends. Rita was an airplane riveter during World War II and loved to cook, read, sew and spend time with her family and friends. A memorial mass will be held at Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church on May 3 at 10 a.m., followed by interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
