Obituary For Mary A. Breuer (nee Barton)
Mary Anne Breuer (nee Barton), 63, of Imperial, died Sept. 14. She was born Jan. 12, 1959, in St. Louis to Donna Barton (Blankenship) and Carlos Barton. Breuer attended Green Park Lutheran School and Lutheran South High School. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years, William John Breuer Sr. They married July 30, 1977, at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for Breuers Auto Service. Mary went to school to be an early childhood teacher, but instead used her God-given talents to serve the Lord in many capacities at her church, Salem Lutheran Affton, where she worked as a Sunday school teacher, served on the Fellowship Committee, was part of Marthas Table and Ulrickes Pantry, an usher, prayer partner, helping with the youth and more. Through Bible Study Fellowship, she served as an assistant childrens supervisor and childrens leader. She is survived by her husband; her three children, Michelle Anne Vangilder (nee Breuer) of St. Peters, William John Breuer Jr. of Imperial, and John William Breuer of Henderson, Nevada; mother-in-law Laura Breuer (nee Schmidt) of St. Louis; brothers Steve (Marilyn) Barton of St. Louis, Larry (Janet) Barton of West County, Dan (Jenn) Barton of Arnold, John Barton (Lauren) of Washougal, Washington and sister-in-law Pam (Nick)Linberg of Davenport, Iowa; and five grandchildren: Koryn Vangilder, Kyler Vangilder, Liam Breuer, Jack Breuer, and Caroline Breuer; and a multitude of family and friends. A service of celebration will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 8343 Gravoid Road, followed by a luncheon. Memorials will be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Affton.
