Maria Grace Scydick (née Torregrossa), 88, of Oakville for 56 years, died on Sept. 16, 2026, at Fieser Nursing Home.

Maria was the loving mom of Dan (Theresa), Michael (Jacqueline) and Stephen; the loving nana of Michael Jr. (Erin), Nicholas, Meghan (Brian), Lauren, Jessica (Chris) and Brandon (Crystal); and the loving great-nana of Grace, Andrew, Adien, Kaylee, MJ, Sydney, Cooper, Easton, Adeline, Leo and Emmett.

Maria was born on August 18, 1938, in St. Louis to Vince and Susie Torregrossa. She loved being outdoors tending to her flowers and garden. Her yard was her showplace, and she loved to walk her dog and stop and talk to the neighbors.

Services were held on Sept. 25, 2026, at Queen of All Saints Parish, officiated by Father Rubie. A heartfelt thank you to those at Queen of All Saints who helped the family fulfil Grace's wish of having a Burial Mass before her interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery alongside her husband, Leo.
