Obituary For Diane L Burns
Burial Date: February 24, 1976. Diane L. Burns, 42, of St. Charles, passed away July 26. She was born in St. Louis on Feb. 24, 1976, to David and Nancy Burns (nee Vogler). Diane is survived by her husband, Hector Linares of St. Charles, whom she married Aug. 30, 2014, at St. Mary Magdalen in Brentwood; her parents: David and Nancy Burns; sisters Laura (Frank Romano) Burns of Webster Groves and Sharon (Neelan) Choksi of Austin, Texas; five nieces and nephews: Reid, Clark and Grace Gericke and Maya and Jaiden Choksi. She was preceded in death earlier this year by her brother, David M. Burns. Ms. Burns grew up in Mehlville and attended Mehlville schools. She attended St. Louis University and University of Missouri-St Louis, studying accounting. She was a passionate soccer fan and player on many soccer teams, as well as an extraordinary friend. She courageously fought a battle for four years against cancer, before succumbing to the disease. Services were held at Newcomer Funerals Chapel in St. Peters, with Deacon Peter Gounis officiating. Interment was private.
