Obituary For Barbara J Eldridge (nee Smith)
Barbara June Eldridge, 93, died July 26, 2019. Born Oct. 30, 1925 to Frederick and Lena Smith, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Ray Eldridge, her son Wayne Eldridge, her parents, three sisters and a brother. She loved reading, puzzles, weekly family dinner, traveling, playing bridge, mall-walking and nature. She is survived by son Glen (Ellen), son Brian (Lisa), grandchildren Courtney, Katie, Nikki, Nicholas and Sofia; great-grandchildren Nash and Bailey; nieces and nephews; and friends from her bridge club. A private burial was held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, officiated by her hospice chaplain. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hope Hospice (10754 Indian Head Industrial Blvd., 63132) or your charity of choice. The family will host a celebration of Barb’s life later this summer.
