Annie Faye Schenkel (née Pryor), 90, of St. Louis, died April 10.

She was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Marked Tree, Arkansas to Aubrey Pryor Sr. and Margarette Elvira “Vira” (née Rie) Pryor.

She married Menhardus “Mike” Klaas Schenkel in 1953 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mr. Schenkel died in 2015. They were married for 64 years.

She is survived by her children Barbara (Tom) Diehl of St. Louis, Susan (the late David) Colston of Kansas City, Kansas, and Rieks “Rick” (Joanne Huff and the late Jamie Schumacher) Schenkel of Altus, Oklahoma; and her brother Aubrey “Danny” (Deb) Owen Pryor of Decatur, Michigan; and sister-in-law Murphy Tina (Lipman) (the late Aubrey “Big Dan”) Pryor.

Annie was preceded in death by a son, Michael Henry Schenkel.

In 1951, Annie joined the US Air Force. Her late husband Mike was also in the USAF, and the two travelled the world with their family. Following her husband's retirement in 1973, the family moved to Oklahoma where they resided until Mr. Schenkel passed in 2015. Following her husband's death, Annie moved to St. Louis to be with family.

Annie was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed Hamm radio, quilting, and genealogy.
