Lindbergh High School announced Monday that 19 juniors have been selected to move on to the next phase of the National Merit Scholarship Program, based on their October 2010 PSAT scores.

Based on their excellent test scores, these students are eligible to be considered as Commended National Merit students or even National Merit semifinalists and finalists. LHS guidance counselors say this is the largest group of students to be eligible for the honors in recent memory, according to a school district news release.

The students include, from left, front row: Jacob Luciani, Brian Roth, Kyle Burkhart, Quin Rich and Mariano Marin; middle row: Elizabeth Black, Francessca Vacca, Katelyn Freund, Kelly Weiss, Mackenzie Hempe, Emily Antrobus and Andrea Muhlbauer; and back row: William Bernard, William Iverson, Eliot Courtois, Steven Ebert, Joe Roth and Wes Shiflet.
