Records were broken last week at Lindbergh High School when it was announced that nine seniors had received perfect composite scores of a 36 on their ACTs. This was the highest number of students to receive a 36 in a single year in LHS history.
“I am beyond excited to have nine Lindbergh students achieve a perfect score on the ACT,” LHS Principal Eric Cochran said in a release. “This is the highest number I can recall in a single graduating class. It is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication and craft of our teachers and the high level of expectations set by our parent community. We are so proud of each of these students.”
Nationwide, only 3,041 of the 1.37 million students who took the ACT, a college and career readiness exam, scored a perfect score of 36, putting these nine seniors in the top 0.22%. A school assembly was held on Oct. 2 where these students were celebrated for their accomplishment and were gifted a baseball jersey with “36” on the back.
