National Guard opens Family Assistance Center

The Missouri National Guard has opened a Family Assistance Center at Jefferson Barracks to provide assistance to family members of deployed military members.

The Family Assistance Center is open to service members and their family members from all branches of the military.

Capt. Mary Gaffney, the National Guard’s state family coordinator, said the center will provide benefit entitlement information on TRICARE medical and dental benefits and the Soldiers and Sailors Civil Relief Act. The center also will serve as a referral center for chaplain assistance, family support groups and such other services as Red Cross or identification cards.

The Jefferson Barracks Family Assistance Center will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays in Building 1. The center coordinator is Charlene Rob-inson, who can be contacted at 1-877-285-7101 or 527-8625.
