Due to possible mold, the Affton Southwest Precinct has moved “for the foreseeable future” to a shopping plaza in Crestwood.

The aging facility at 9928 Gravois Road — which is slated to be replaced in a land deal the County Council gave preliminary approval to last week — may have mold from a leaking roof, the county Police Department said.

Officers moved to a location by Monkey Joe’s and Friar Tuck in Crestwood at 9059 Watson Road Dec. 20.

“This will not impact services provided to the public by our officers in any way,” police spokesman Officer Benjamin Granda said.

It is not yet known how long the temporary move to Crestwood might last.

Eventually, the precinct will move to its new location at Gravois and Sappington roads, near the Crestwood city line.
