The Missouri Department of Transportation and its contractor Millstone Bangert will close two of four lanes of southbound Interstate 270 the weekend of Aug. 13 and 14, weather permitting.
The closure is needed so crews can return southbound I-270 back to its original alignment and 12- foot wide lanes, according to a MoDOT news release.
The temporary lane closures on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road (Route 30) this weekend:
One lane of southbound I-270 will close at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug.13
A second lane of southbound I-270 will close at 11 a.m. Saturday.
All lanes of southbound I-270 will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15.
Suggested weekend detour routes:
During the weekend lane closures on southbound I-270, motorists are advised to use Route 141 or Lindbergh Boulevard (Route 61/67) as alternatives.
This work is part of the I-270 rehabilitation projects on the northbound and southbound I-270 bridges over Rott Road and the I-270 bridges over I-44.
