Turnout was brisk Saturday at the Mehlville Fire Protection District’s annual holiday food drive at Engine House No. 5, 11020 Mueller Road, Green Park. During the event, children visited with Santa and Mrs. Claus and learned about fire safety from firefighters. The food drive will continue through Tuesday, Dec. 20. All canned foods and donations will go to Feed My People. Pictured with Santa and Mrs. Claus is 10-year-old Charles Stegman, grandson of MFPD Board of Directors Treasurer Bonnie Stegman. Charles attended his first holiday food drive at the district 10 years ago.
