Meramec Sharks to face Blues Alumni at rec complex

The St. Louis Blues Alumni and the Meramec Sharks youth hockey organization will face off in an exhibition game Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road.

The puck will drop at 6:30 p.m. Bruce Affleck, Kelly Chase, Bernie Federko, Rick Zombo, Larry Patey and several of St. Louis’ favorite Blue Notes will be on the roster against some of Meramec Sharks’ finest. The Meramec Hockey Club is a non-profit organization that provides an opportunity for children to have the chance to play hockey. This season, the club plans to fill more than 20 teams competing at all levels of youth hockey. These levels include children from ages 4 to 16.

This event will benefit Foundation First, a special fund set up by the Meramec Sharks. Two ticket options are available:

• $15 will get a basic ticket into the game — seats are on a first-come, first-served basis.

• $75 will get an expanded ticket. This gets the ticket-holder into the game — seats are on a first-come, first-served basis — and a reception with the Blues Alumni after the game at the Falls Banquet Center in Columbia, Ill.

Tickets are available by calling (314) 995-1299. Tickets also are available by e-mailing
