Mehlville seeks seniors to serve on panel

The Mehlville School District is seeking volunteers to serve on a Senior Citizens Advisory Committee.

The Senior Citizens Advisory Committee will meet quarterly to review district issues and offer input and advice to the superintendent and Board of Education.

“I believe our seniors have much to offer in terms of knowledge and experience,” Superintendent Terry Noble stated in a news release. “It would be a tremendous gain for our district to tap into this wonderful resource. The Mehlville School District belongs to all community members and we want to ensure our seniors have a voice as we move this district forward.”

Residents wishing to serve on the Senior Citizens Advisory Committee are asked to submit their name and telephone number to Patrick Wallace in the school district’s School/Community Relations Office. Wallace can be reached (314) 467-5153 or by e-mail at wallacep@mehlville.k12.mo.us.

The panel’s first meeting is set for for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Central Office Boardroom, 3120 Lemay Ferry Road.
