The Mehlville School District is seeking volunteers to serve on the new Strategic Plan Steering Committee to ensure as many voices of the community as possible are heard before the district drafts its 2026-31 Strategic Plan.
For those who are unaware, a strategic plan outlines the goals – and strategies to achieve said goals – for a school district over a certain period of time. Mehlville’s first strategic plan was adopted in 2015, with a follow-up plan passing in 2021. Themes of the district’s past plans include student preparation, effectiveness and efficiency, workforce development, safety, personalization and access and opportunity.

Volunteers must commit to attending at least five evening meetings over the course of 2025 to gain an in-depth understanding of current strengths and opportunities of the district, review survey data and provide feedback to those drafting the strategic plan.
The Strategic Plan Steering Committee will hold its first meeting on April 3 at 6:30 p.m.
