Mehlville forming communications committees

The Mehlville School District is launching two advisory committees to help improve district communications and is seeking community members to serve on those committees, according to a district news release.

The Communications Advisory Team, or CAT, will meet quarterly to evaluate communications programs and services, help formulate communications goals for the coming year and offer suggestions and ideas to reach target audiences through new and effective methods.

Team members will include at least three parents, three community members, two teachers, one administrator and two support staff members.

The Public Relations Advisory Committee, or PRAC, will offer professional consultation and guidance to the Communications Department staff on a quarterly basis.

PRAC members, all communications professionals, will include one to two communications professionals from other school districts, two corporate or independent marketing professionals, two public relations representatives from service agencies and Communications Department staff.
