Employees of the Mehlville School District’s Transportation Department recently raised $1,000 for BackStoppers.
The Transportation Department raised the money through personal donations and a gift basket raffle at its annual holiday party, where singer and Mehlville High School graduate Jessica Tipton donated her time and talents, according to a district news release.
Employees made gift basket items, purchased gift basket items and solicited gift basket items from a number of area businesses.
They ended up with nearly 30 gift baskets, the release stated.
