The Mosaic Minds Robotics Club at Mosaic Elementary, the school of innovation in the Mehlville School District, competed against high-schoolers in the Boeing Engineering Glider Challenge at Washington University last week. The team, comprised of third- and fourth-graders, was the only elementary team participating against one middle school and 83 high schools.
The challenge was building a glider and seeing how far it can fly.
“Most of the teams were high-school students,” the district said. “They were really impressed how skilled the Mosaic students are.”
