The other bid approved by the board was phase two of the Bierbaum Elementary renovation project through Proposition S. The work includes razing the old library and constructing a new building with a new library and additional classroom, and a larger storm shelter that can accommodate the school’s population. The bid approved by the board was a $10.634 million bid from K&S Associates which includes professional and contingency fees. Phase two of Bierbaum is funded by a mix of funds from Prop S, the district’s capital fund and money from 2015’s Proposition R.
