To the editor:
The discussion on reducing the police service in Green Park is absolutely ridiculous, living in this society of ever-increasing problems. You would think that Green Park would do everything in their power to keep up the integrity and safety of the area. The City should appreciate that commercial businesses are interested in placing their livelihoods within the area. It is hard for persons not in business to understand how progress works. It takes both businesses and residents to make any city a place to be proud of, prosperous and safe. There was a time when there were more problems going on and it seems as though the present police services must be doing something right to have lessened vandalism, theft, etc.
I say hats off to good and plenty of police services for all and especially persons paying taxes on behalf of Green Park.
Thanks to all our police, fire fighters and first responders. Here’s to a safe and prosperous New Year.
