The Long Elementary School Recorder Club last week shared a special thank you with three teams of firefighters who helped one of their classmates escape a house fire uninjured.
Long music teacher Wes Kassulke worked with three local fire departments to find a day when the same fire crews who responded would all be working.
The Recorder Club traveled to Mehlville, Fenton and Crestwood firehouses, where they played songs, presented a banner and cards, and delivered a “Thank You” basket of snacks.
The club also made a $100 donation to BackStoppers in honor of the firefighters who saved the Beaudreau home.
