Joshua Holland, a member of Boy Scout Troop 646, was recently honored for earning the rank of Eagle Scout during a Court of Honor ceremony at St. Catherine Laboure School.

His Eagle project consisted of laying the groundwork to make the pavilion picnic area at Lynstone Park in Sunset Hills Americans with Disabilities Act accessible from the parking lot, a news release stated.

This involved digging a path and laying a limestone mixture base. The base was also added under seven park benches and an additional picnic table area. The project took more than 110 hours.

Throughout Joshua’s Boy Scout career, he earned 47 merit badges. Other highlights include receiving the Order of the Arrow Award from his fellow Scouts, earning the Parvuli Dei, Ad Altare Dei and Pope Pius XII Catholic Religious awards and the Bronze Eagle Palm. He also participated in many Scout hikes and camps.

He is a senior at Lindbergh High School.
