The Lindbergh School District is seeking volunteers to serve on a Taxpayers Task Force.
Volunteers must be district residents, a district news release stated. The committee will review financial aspects of the school district and develop proposals to limit future property-tax payments for taxpayers on fixed incomes. These proposals will be shared with state legislators.
Chief Financial Officer Pat Lanane stated in the release, “I am hoping that senior citizens and other fixed-income residents who no longer have a strong connection to the district will participate. I think it is critical for us to listen and understand their distinctive financial situations.”
Meetings will be conducted during the day to better accommodate senior citizens.
