St. Louis Community College recognized Lindbergh Schools for the district’s student participation in its dual credit and dual enrollment programs during the 2023-24 school year.

The district partners with STLCC to offer students the chance to receive college credit as high school students through the dual credit program, where students earn credit through classes taught by high school instructors. Students also earn college credit in the dual enrollment program by attending classes at STLCC Meramec campus.

At the Lindbergh Board of Education’s May regular meeting, the district was recognized by STLCC as a top school district for most dual credit students and most money saved for 2023-24, as well as the “highest increase in dual credit section offerings” and “highest average savings per dual credit student.”

In the 2023-24 school year, 513 Lindbergh High School students were enrolled in at least one dual credit class, and 57 students were enrolled in the dual credit program. Students collectively saved $1,999,919.50 in college tuition costs, compared to the costs of public universities and colleges in the state, and earned a total of 5,510 dual credit hours.

LHS offered 16 programs in the dual credit program, including business, English, mathematics, science, history and political science.

“Our partnership with the STLCC dual credit and dual enrollment programs allows students who are already doing rigorous, college-level learning to also get a jumpstart on a college degree and save thousands of dollars in college tuition,” Ronnie Zagora, executive director of secondary education, stated in a press release from the district. “We are delighted to see incredible growth this year. These numbers are the result of a strong commitment from both LHS students and teachers to push themselves beyond traditional high school coursework to prepare for students’ post-secondary pathways.”
