Lindbergh High School band members performed for 36 straight hours April 22-23 during the ninth annual LHS Musicthon to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and honor a young band buddy who died in 2014 following a battle with cancer. The music marathon featured performances from the LHS Woodwind Choir, LHS Drumline and LHS Strolling String, pictured above, and more. Since 2014, the Musicthon has generated more than $23,450 to fund childhood cancer research and assist families of children with cancer. The money is raised in honor of Alex, who band members met during Sunday Night Lights in 2012.
