Lindbergh High Student Council earns National Excellence Award

Lindbergh High Student Council earns National Excellence Award

The Lindbergh High School Student Council is one of nine high schools in Missouri and 259 nationwide to earn the 2017 National Council of Excellence Award from the National Association of Student Councils. The National Council of Excellence is a national award program created by NASC to recognize student councils that maintain strong year-round programs and work to improve their schools and communities through leadership activities. National Councils of Excellence must meet council goals; function in an ethical and responsible way; and engage others in leadership, spirit, civic and service activities. ‘LHS is fortunate to have strong student leaders, many of whom participate in Student Council, organizing incredibly successful, fun and community-oriented events,’ Principal Eric Cochran stated in a news release. ‘I am proud of all of our Student Council members and their advisers. They are very deserving of this honor.’ Members of the LHS Student Council organize a number of special events and fundraisers each year to benefit the community, including the high school Homecoming dance, a Special Olympics softball tournament, Taste of Lindbergh High School and a Boonanza Halloween event for children.
