July 8, 2009
Michael Rudoff of Concord is a recipient of the Lloyd J. Palmer/Nalco Chemical Co. Endowed Scholarship in Chemistry for the 2008-2009 academic year, according to a news release.
This award honors Lloyd J. Palmer, re-tired executive vice president of the Nalco Chemical Co. and former chairman of the Board of Trustees of Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Ill.
The scholarship, created in 1993 to assist full-time chemistry majors with financial need, also recognizes the long history of affiliation between Nalco and the college, the release stated.
Rudoff, a “rising” senior chemistry major at Elmhurst College, is a graduate of Lindbergh High School.
This is the third consecutive year he has received the Lloyd J. Palmer/Nalco Chemical Co. Endowed Scholarship in Chemistry.
He is the son of Mark Rudoff of Concord and Melissa Noonan of Liberty.
