Lindbergh Early Childhood

Lindbergh Early Childhood Education has achieved accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Lindbergh Early Childhood Education is one of the first programs in the country to earn this mark of quality from the reinvented NAEYC accreditation system.

“This is a great honor for our early childhood center,” LECE Director Charlene Ziegler stated in a district news release. “Our teachers and staff have worked hard to reach this goal. National accreditation supports our commitment to providing a quality education and caring environment to all young learners.”

To achieve NAEYC accreditation, Lindbergh ECE was measured against the most robust and rigorous national standards on education, health and safety, according to the release. LECE met the accreditation requirements in 10 areas of early childhood program standards and classroom observations. In eight of the 10 areas, the center received 100 percent or more than 100 percent. In classroom observations, scores ranged from 95 percent to 98 percent.

NAEYC-accredited programs also are subject to unannounced visits during their accreditation. LECE was granted the five-year NAEYC accreditation May 31.

LECE programs are offered year-round and are open to families from any school district.
