Lindbergh driver ed instructor wins national award

Lindbergh High School driver education instructor Carol Hoormann was one of three educators nationwide to receive a Teacher Excellence Award at the 2014 American Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association National Conference in Wichita, Kan.

Hoormann is the first instructor from Missouri to win the award. She has been teaching driver education at Lindbergh for 14 years, accompanying students behind the wheel as they practice their skills on the roads and parking lots surrounding LHS.

She serves as the executive director of the Missouri Driver and Safety Education Association and serves on the Missouri Department of Transportation Blueprint Committee, which works to reduce highway fatalities and increase traffic safety education in the St. Louis area.
