League of Women Voters has Voters Guide with candidates, issues

To the editor:

The League of Women Voters of Missouri offered candidates across our state the opportunity to participate in our first-ever statewide Voters Guide. The League’s guide is free, nonpartisan and easily accessible at VOTE411.org.

At the VOTE411.org website, you can see your personalized ballot, do side-by-side comparisons of candidates, and see ballot issues summarized with views from both supporters and opponents.

The LWV guide has responses from those running for Congress. Our guide has responses from candidates for all statewide offices. Also, all candidates for Missouri General Assembly were asked to participate in the LWV Voters Guide. This year the League is excited to extend our coverage, so that we are able to provide voters with information on Circuit Judiciary races across the state.

Be an informed voter by researching the candidates and issues. Make a plan to go to the polls. Then vote.  Democracy works best when we all participate.

The League of Women Voters has a long history of helping voters.  Our work to inform voters via our Voters Guide is one way that we honor the suffragists of 100 years ago who enabled the reality of women’s right to vote today.
