Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Allen J. Payne; son and daughter-in-law, USMC Maj. B.J. and Kathy Payne; daughters and sons-in-law, Stacy and Tom Ballard and Tana and Edward Wilhelm.; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Donna Schneider; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ron Haegele; and four grandchildren.

Services and visitation were at Ziegenhein and Sons, south county. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery in Belleville, Ill.
