Grizzlies salute Lindbergh Academic All-Stars

Lindbergh Academic All-Stars were treated to a free Gateway Grizzlies base-ball game last week as part of the 2010 program to honor outstanding academic achievement. Students walked the field before the game began, and were congratulated by the Grizzlies’ mascot, Izzy, and Superintendent Jim Simpson. Lindbergh honored 1,400 students in grades four through eight for their outstanding academic achievement during three Academic All-Star evenings in November. Elementary and middle school students who score at the proficient or advanced level in all subject areas of the Missouri Assessment Program are eligible for the program. Call Newspapers is a community business sponsor of Academic All-Stars.
