The Grantwood Village Board of Trustees will have a comprehensive discussion at its October meeting on outdoor structures.

The hope is to finalize an ordinance at that time to allow residents to begin building. The board has mentioned the matter in the past, highlighting the need for set measurements and materials for any structure.

“This has got to be resolved in the next meeting. This has been on our agenda for months now and it has got to be resolved,” Chairman Kevin Kelso said. “We do have people who want to build these outdoor kitchens and things like that.”

It is up to board members to send suggestions to Village Attorney Mike Vogt to put together a plan before the meeting.

The Grantwood Village Board of Trustees meets the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. Trustees are currently conducting meetings via videoconference due to COVID-19.
